It’s that time again where we search around for the best and most interesting things going on in Green Valley in the near future and deliver them to you, our valued friends and customers. Here is a list of the events we are most excited for and hope you are too:
1.) The Arizona Cavalcade of History art exhibit: From April 24 until December 31st, the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park in Tubac will be hosting the Arizona Cavalcade of History. The exhibit will be featuring William Ahrendt’s beautiful paintings that depict important events in Arizona’s history. The event is $5 for adults, $2 for ages 13-7, and free for children. 2.) Summer Safari Nights: Presented by Tucson Medical Center, the Reid Park Zoo will be hosting Summer Safari Nights on Fridays starting Friday the 23rd until July 11. These fun nights are all themed by different animals and will host tons of fun events, activities, scavenger hunts and even live music all while enjoying the zoo in cooler weather. The cost for Safari Nights are $9 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $5 for children ages 2-14. Visit the zoo, interact with the zookeepers, enjoy some cool discounts and get out of the sun! 3.) Run Boy Run: Run Boy Run will be coming to Green Valley on Tuesday May 20th to the Green Valley Recreation Center. Run Boy Run is a beautiful musical act featuring 4 magical human voices rooting music from the Appalachian South. The group features amazing orchestral arrangements and won the 2011 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Contest. The event will be held in the West Auditorium at 7pm and is $14 for members, $17 for guests, $20 for general public. Tickets increase by $1 at the door.
